So, if you are like me, you may find yourself searching through the never ending "Because you watched..." or "Suggestions for you" shows on Netflix. I know I can endlessly search for a show to binge and enjoy.

Bates Motel is the PERFECT show to spend your day or evening on! The show was based off of Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 psychological horror film, Psycho. The famous filmed stared Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh. You may have seen the film and are familiar with the infamous "shower scene" butI'm not going to give away too many spoilers, but TRUST ME, this show keeps you at the edge of your seat!

I would highly suggest watching the film before starting the series but WOW, A&E does an incredible job encompassing the original movies creepy and suspenseful vibe.

The show follows a single mother, Norma and her disturbed son, Norman, as they pack up their life, move to Oregon and start running a motel. The show is full of twists and turns but the script is so well written, you could watch it all day and never feel bored. The series is based before the Hitchcock film takes place so we see what happens before Norman is running the forsaken motel by himself. Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga are the stars that bring this story to life and they do not disappoint!
