Hiya lovelies!!!
Yesterday morning I stopped at Jamba Juice before heading to work (PB and Banana Protein...YUMM!!) and as I was waiting for my smoothie, I read the bulletin board in the building. I found a really neat opportunity to give back to our community without having to write a “check” or donating to pay pal on a website.

Basically PB Smiles, which is a dentist office in Pacific Beach, partnered with Operation Homefront to create a fundraiser called “Backpack for Smiles.” Operation Homefront is an INCREDIBLE organization that helps families of service members get support as their loved ones are serving the country!
Their website states “It's a great feeling. To get relief during a crisis, a way to regain resiliency and a little bit of recognition and recurring support for a life of sacrifice. That's what we do at Operation Homefront... and it's making a difference.”
I have SO much admiration for organizations such as Operation Homefront who give back to the community and especially when they support our armed service members. 'MURICA!

This organization has NUMEROUS ways to "give" without having to spend tons money as well. They have volunteer opportunities, they help you with creating a fundraiser at your work or school, and much more!
Anywayssss, back to the sign I saw at Jamba Juice. PB smiles as well as La Jolla Village Dentistry, started a fundraiser collecting backpacks and school supplies for children of armed service members. The backpacks must be dropped off at one of these dentistry locations before May 31st. I know I will be making a trip to Target this weekend and put together a fun backpack for this fundraiser.
BUT, if you are not able to participate in this fundraiser, there are SOOO many other ways to get involved! So head on over and check out their "Ways to Give" page on their website.

I believe that it is so important to give back to the community or to an admirable cause such as Operation Homefront. Not only are you helping others but you can also be humbly proud of yourself for making a difference!
Have a great HUMP DAY y'all!!!
