Music Video, Stranger Things, and a snack you NEED to try!

Welcome back lovelies!

I hope you all are having a beautiful week!

As the title says, today I will be talking about my experience being in a music video!

The band is named Spend Time Palace and the video will be entitled “Sonora”.

*I am not 100% sure on the release date but I will post it on my blog as soon as it is available.*

Anywayyyssss, I drive to the location which is a residential area south of Los Angeles. The portion of the video that I was an "extra" will be in the backyard of a home.

Think Friday night high school party.

There were at least 50 extras and we all met out on the front lawn to fill out paperwork and talent release forms.

Next, we were escorted towards the backyard and started getting placed where the director and camera crew wanted us.

SPEAKING OF THE DIRECTOR. There were a couple.

One was Finn Wolfhard.

Yes. You heard me.

Finn is one of the main stars in the fairly new Netflix show, Stranger Things.

What!?!!

He is only fourteen years old but INCREDIBLY professional and creative. The way he worked on set actually blew my mind and encouraged me to try and have that mindset when I am at work!

The next director was a popular viner named Josh. I do not know much about him or remember watching his vines but he, as well as Finn, was a genius when working on camera angles and setting up the placement of the extras. https://www.famousbirthdays.com/people/josh-kennedy-webvideostar.html

The last pretty well known lady that was there was Iris Apatow who is Leslie Mann’s daughter. Iris has been in films such as Sausage Party, Knocked Up and This is 40. Leslie Mann is also a VERY popular actress and is in one of my personal favorite movies, 17 Again.

Personally, I really LOVE working in an environment full of motivated people and this was just that...

A group of motivated people.

Just sitting with the other extras, hearing about all of the projects they have been apart of and how busy they are, was inspiring for me to keep working hard and staying focused on my goals.

*P.S shout out to my new friend Birdie for telling me to use Aloe Vera on my skin everyday...her skin was absolutely flawless and she said her secret was using Aloe Vera every single day! I definitely will be adding Aloe to my skin care routine.

During the actual filming part, we were sitting on couches by a fire, we danced by a stage as the band was playing, all while the two main characters were developing a “young love” story. It took take after take to get the perfect scene but it was SO worth it and I can’t wait to see the finished product!

It was truly an unforgettable experience and I am so thankful I was able to be apart of it!

OKKAAYY, let’s talk Stranger Things.

As I mentioned earlier, one of the directors of the music video (Finn Wolfhard) is a main character in Stranger Things on Netflix.

This show is SO ADDICTING.

I COULDN’T STOP WATCHING IT!

I highly recommend you adding this series to your watch list! I am not really into “sci-fi” type shows but Stranger Things is a worthy exception!

I am not going to go into detail about the plot and character dynamics because I don’t want to ramble on too long where you won’t read my blogs again (HA), but also I don’t want to give away any spoilers!

Long story short. WATCH THE SHOW.

Alrighty, last blog of the day is on one of my new fave “healthyish” snacks. (Literally I have almost eaten a whole bag at work today).

The snack is called Inner Peas, and they can be found at Trader Joe’s (OF COURSE).

They are ABSOLUTELY mouthwatering and I am not a fan of regular peas!

There are very little ingredients, compared to most "chip" type snacks (Green peas, canola oil, rice meal, salt, calcium carbonate, and ascorbyl palmitate). Obviously, this snack is not completely clean but I know sometimes I just need a good ole fashioned crunchy snack and these fit the bill!

They are baked, NOT FRIED, which is a bonus.

No trans fat. No saturated fat. Very little sugar.

All in all they are delicious and you all should try them at least once!
